During Preview Day, you will get to experience multiple hands-on simulations. Here is a description of what simulations will be offered. You will be able to choose 2, we will do our best to honor your choices, however, it cannot be guaranteed.

Tracheostomy "trach" Care: "Trach": participants will perform tracheostomy care, including cleaning around the stoma site, changing the trach dressing, and ensuring the area remains free from infection. They will also practice tracheostomy suctioning techniques to maintain a clear airway and promote effective breathing.

Labor & Delivery: Have an interest in OB or Pediatric Nursing? Come sit in on a birthing simulation with our manikin Victoria and learn about what nursing in a labor and delivery unit is like.

Radiation Therapy: Students will be able to use new technology at Bellin College called VERT. Students will be using 3d glasses to work on a Medical Linear Accelerator to use radiation for targeting cancerous cells. Students will learn general information on Radiation Therapy and how vital they are to any cancer treatment team.

Radiologic Sciences: Students will learn the ins and outs of radiologic imaging while using our manikins to review these images.

Surgery Rotation: Experience what the career as a Surgical Assistant looks like in our state-of-the-art OR simulation suite. Students will have the opportunities to practice suturing and walk through simulations with our SynDaver (a synthetic cadaver) that our students use to practice their surgical skills.
